Abstract

This study aimed to know the levels of job satisfaction (job content, salaries, promotions, coworkers, job stability) and employees’ performance in the General Office of Taiz Governorate, and to know the impact of job satisfaction on employees’ performance. Using an analytical descriptive approach, data were collected via questionnaires from 130 employees. Of 126 questionnaires, 108 were analyzed using SPSS for descriptive analysis and AMOS for path analysis. Results showed a positive work environment with strong relationships, cooperation, and mutual respect among employees. However, salaries, incentives, and promotions were the weakest job satisfaction dimensions. Job content lagged behind modern IT advancements and lacked opportunities for skill development. Employees also reported insufficient job stability and security. Overall, job satisfaction was low, negatively affecting employees’ performance. Despite this, all job satisfaction dimensions positively influenced employees’ performance. The study highlights the need to improve salaries, incentives, and promotion systems, modernize job content, and enhance job stability to boost satisfaction and performance in the General Office of Taiz Governorate.
