Abstract

The study aimed to examine the impact of administrative empower-ment on the quality of work life of employees in Yemeni private uni-versities by analyzing the effect of empowerment dimensions—participation in decision-making, delegation of authority, employee training, and information sharing—on job security and stability, work–life balance, and wages and rewards. A descriptive-analytical approach was adopted, and data were collected from primary and sec-ondary sources. The study population comprised 620 administrative staff and academic administrators, from which a random sample of 237 employees was selected. A questionnaire was used as the main data collection tool, and 195 valid responses were obtained, representing a response rate of 82.3%. The findings indicated a high level of adminis-trative empowerment, with variation among its dimensions, while the quality of work life was at a moderate level. The results also revealed a statistically significant effect of administrative empowerment on quali-ty of work life. Accordingly, the study recommended fostering a sup-portive work environment, strengthening empowerment practices, and improving incentive and reward systems to enhance employee reten-tion, stability, and performance.
