The Impact of Strategic Planning on Achieving Sustainable Performance:AField Study of Civil Society Organizations in Wadi Hadhramaut Governorate

This study examined the impact of strategic planning (strategic orientation, strategic analysis, strategic choice, and performance monitoring and evaluation) on sustainable performance (economic, social, and environmental performance) in civil society organizations (CSOs) in Wadi Hadhramaut. Using a descriptive analytical approach, data was collected via questionnaires from a purposive sample of 159 individuals from 45 CSOs. The study used the SPSS Program and reached several results, most notably the existence of a very strong positive correlation was found between strategic planning (both collectively and individually) and sustainable performance. Strategic planning significantly impacted sustainable performance, with strategic analysis being the most influential dimension. The study recommends that CSOs enhance their strategic planning practices and give greater emphasis to the concept of sustainable performance.
