Hybrid photovoltaic (PV)-battery systems are gaining prominence in agricultural applications as a sustainable energy solution, particularly in remote areas with limited grid access. These systems integrate solar panels with battery storage to ensure a reliable and continuous power supply, enabling energy independence, reduced fossil fuel dependency, and cost savings for farmers. The inclusion of battery storage addresses intermittency challenges by providing energy during periods of low solar irradiance, such as nighttime or cloudy conditions, thereby ensuring uninterrupted operation. Effective energy management is critical to optimizing system efficiency, minimizing operational costs, and extending system lifespan. Furthermore, consistent monitoring and maintenance are essential to enhance reliability and support long-term agricultural productivity. This study highlights the potential of hybrid PV-battery systems to transform energy use in agriculture, emphasizing their role in promoting sustainability and resilience in off-grid farming operations.
