Step-by-Step Review Process

Step 01
Day 0

Submission

Submit your journal via the online form. Provide your ISSN, journal URL, editorial board details, and a sample issue. No payment is required at this stage.

Step 02
Days 1–5

Eligibility Pre-screen

Our team verifies that your journal meets the basic eligibility requirements before the full review begins. You are notified of the outcome by email.

  • Minimum 2 years of continuous publication
  • Minimum 20 published articles
  • Languages: Arabic, English
  • DOI assignment required
Step 03
Days 5–7

Plan Selection & Payment

Once your journal passes the pre-screen you will receive an invitation to select a plan and complete payment. Your review SLA clock starts after payment is confirmed.

  • Q4: 0–49 (Under observation)
  • Rejected journals receive a full refund within 14 business days

Within 3 business days of approval

Indexing & Live Listing

Approved journals are added to the AMS database. Your profile page, AMS score badge, and citation data go live and are updated quarterly.

When does the SLA clock start?
The review SLA begins from the date payment is confirmed — not from submission. Journals that fail the pre-screen are not charged.
What if my journal is rejected?
You receive a full refund within 14 business days. A detailed rejection report is included so you can address the gaps and reapply.
Can I track my submission status?
Yes — you will receive email updates at each stage. A submission reference number is provided after payment.
How often is the AMS score updated?
Citation data is synced quarterly via CrossRef. Full re-evaluations run annually. Score changes are published on your journal profile page.
Can I appeal a decision?
Yes — you may request one appeal within 30 days of the decision. Appeals are reviewed by a senior panel within 14 business days.
Is the review process confidential?
All reviewer identities are kept confidential. Your journal data is not shared with third parties during or after the review.
