Abstract

Abstract
The integration of digital technologies has become a major driving force behind the advancement of sustainability imperatives across a myriad of fields and industries. Therefore, understanding the key technologies that are crucial for promoting sustainability in the banking sector is indispensable. This study aims to bridge the current knowledge gap by employing a multi-step methodology, including a systematic literature review, the Delphi method, and the fuzzy analytical hierarchy method, to prioritize technologies that contribute to economic, social, and environmental sustainability. The results of the study postulated that mobile banking (0.247) is the most significant technology, followed by artificial intelligence (0.227), blockchain (0.199), big data analytics (0.164), cloud computing (0.109), and robotics process automation (0.054). The most critical sub-factors are promoting sustainable growth, advancing sustainable development goals, accelerating financial inclusion, alleviating environmental pollution, making financial services affordable, safeguarding time and money, and reducing the level of information asymmetry. This study can help researchers and practitioners understand that sustainability and digitalization are co-transformations, rather than distinct transformations that run simultaneously.
