The current study aimed to standardize the Subjective Career Success Scale developed by Briscoe et al. (2021) and to examine its psychometric properties. The scale included two aspects: achievement and importance, each consisting of 23 items across 7 dimensions. The sample consisted of 298 career guidance specialists in public schools in the Sultanate of Oman. Content validity was established through expert translation and back-translation, and the scale was reviewed by 16 specialists to validate the content. Criterion validity was also assessed, and construct validity was assessed using a confirmatory factor analysis, which showed good fit indices with the data model. To assess the scale’s reliability, Cronbach’s alpha coefficients for the dimensions of the scale in each aspect were calculated, yielding values of 0.90 for the importance aspect, 0.92 for the achievement aspect, and 0.95 for the overall scale. Additionally, the split-half method using the Spearman-Brown coefficient showed high consistency 0.92 for importance, 0.93 for achievement, and 0.98 for the overall scale. The results indicate that the scale is valid for use with career guidance specialists in Oman. The study recommended using the scale for scientific studies that examine variables related to subjective career success among this group.
